„JSC ENERGO-PRO Georgia“ held a greening action

EPG employees planted Oak seedlings at the nearby territory of Rioni HPP channel. 120 oak plants were planted at the Mukhnari forest section where the largest part of trees were damaged and withered. By the company initiative, the forest district which required the most attention in this regards was planted first of all. Along with other ongoing projects, it is highly important for EPG to secure the environmental protection issues.
EPG ecology specialist along with other field specialists actively worked on the elaboration of the project; the period and the type of seedlings were chosen through consultations in view of the climate conditions.
“Georgian endemic Oak tree was chosen considering the climate and soil of the Mukhnari forest. With this action we try to make our little contribution to the greening and maintenance of the Oak trees which were registede in the Red Book” – said Mariam Mchedlishvili, ecology specialist of EPG.
EPG West central Branch and Rioni HPP employees took part in the greening action. EPG will continue imlplementation of alike actions in future as well.
