How to pay your bill

The Bill is Paid as Follows:

  • Customer is liable to pay for consumed electricity using tariffs approved by GNERC within established deadlines in the bill;
  • Information on current billed amount and customer debt is provided in the customer’s bill;
  • Customer can make a payment at:
  1. Service centre payment points (Dusheti, Tkibuli, Tsager-Lentekhi)
  2. Following bank (Bank of Georgia, Liberty Bank, Bank Republic, VTB Bank of Georgia, TBC Pay, Nova Technology, MGGS Georgia) branches or post offices;
  3. Customer can transfer money to the following bank account of the company.

Payment without commission is possible at Liberty Bank.

How your bill is calculated

Billed Amount is Calculated as follows:

1. Except Residential Customers:

Previous meter reading should be deducted from the current reading.

Difference is multiplied on current transformer ratio (if applicable).

Resulted kW/hrs is multiplied by tariff.

If by some reason act is written, corresponding kW/hrs and GEL will be added to the billed amount.

If customer’s meter could not be read by some reason, estimated reading, based on the last month average consumption (and billing period) will be used to estimate consumed kW/hrs. During the next billing cycle, after the meter is read, estimated billing and corresponding amount automatically will be corrected (increased or decreased).

2. Re-metered Residential Customers:

Previous meter reading shall be deducted from the current reading.

Based on calculated kW/hrs and number of days between readings, define the corresponding value of step tariff (by estimation of possible consumption for 30 days).

Calculated kW/hrs is multiplied by corresponding step tariff value.

If by some reason act is written, corresponding kW/hrs and GEL will be added to billed amount.

If customer meter could not be read by some reason, estimated reading, based on the last month average consumption (and billing period) will be used to estimate consumed kW/hrs. During the next billing cycle, after meter is read, estimated billing and corresponding amount automatically will be corrected (increased or decreased).

If customer has any type of subsidy, billed amount will be adjusted (decreased) by the subsidy value.

3. Unmetered Residential Customers Connected to one Common Meter

Billing of unmetered residential customers connected to one common meter is performed according to attached GNERC resolution.

If I consume less than 95-99 kW for 28 days, why do they bill me by step II?

Pursuant to May 15, 2006 GNERC resolution #18 customer pays cost for 30 calendar days’ consumed electricity on full amount of consumed electricity by tariff established for the amount of electricity consumed (corresponding the step). Consequently, amount of electricity consumed is divided by 28 and multiplied by 30. For example:

Meter reading, April 5: 10 000

Meter reading, May 3: 10097

Amount of electricity consumed – 97 kW for 28 calendar days. As tariff is calculated for 30 calendar days, the average consumption is determined, i.e. 97/28 = 3.46 kW (average daily consumption). 3.46X30 (days) = 103.9 kW the result shifts to Step II tariff accordingly, that accounts 16.52 Tetri per kW/hrs. Payment in GEL for consumed electricity is calculated as follows:

GEL 0.1652X97 days = GEL 16.02

How to become a customer?

According to company standards, customer must submit filled in application form and if necessary, attach to the form copies of certificates of house ownership and ID card.

How are customers with communal meters billed?

Authorized representative chosen by district residents (from the side of the customers) and the Company conclude an agreement; on the bases of the established register consumed electricity is divided among the customers in the district (according to consumption); afterwards corresponding billing acts are issued. In case of nonexistence of the mentioned above agreement between the residents’ representative and the company, pursuant to May 30, 2007 GNERC resolution #9 consumed electricity is divided between the customers evenly; afterwards billing act is issued.

When will be the process of individual re-metering completed?

The process of individual re-metering will be completed according to the schedule agreed with the Ministry of Energy of Georgia.

How to behave when leaving a place of residence for a while (Customers with communal meter)?

Inform in writing local service center regarding the fact and demand switching off from the network. Make sure that your demand is satisfied correspondingly.

How to change data of an old customer with the data of a new one? (name/title of the customer)

To undertake the procedure the owner of the property, who wants to change the name/title has to submit to the company the certificate of ownership of the property (public registry), copy of ID and written application with corresponding request.

How to become a consumer of 0.380 kV voltage

Transfer from 0.220 kV voltage to 0.380 kV voltage by the customer existing up to 10 kW

If 0,220 kV voltage residential customer owns 0.380 kV voltage electrical device that was connected to the distribution network, herewith total connecting capacity of customers does not exceed 10 kV, customer is authorized to request arrangement of 0.380 kV voltage metering knot instead of 0.220 kV voltage metering knot in the following way:

a) Customer should address to the distribution licensee upon the application and provide arrangement of 0.380 kV voltage metering knot himself/herself. In this case, distribution licensee is obliged to transfer technical specificcation for free within 2 weeks period from receipt.

b) Through distribution licensee, in case of arrangement of 0.380 kV voltage metering knot, distribution licensee is liable to provide replacement of metering knot. And customer is obliged to reimburse expenses spent for replacement-arrangement/assembly of metering knot that does not exceed GEL 250 including VAT.

Considering the above-mentioned conditions/terms the customer should address to the company with the corresponding request.

How to separate the customers

If there takes place separation of real estate (customer separation) and exists as customer-residential consumer – registration request by the owner of separated property, distribution licensee is authorised to bill the cost spent on arranging the metering knot not more than 100 GEL VAT included.

How to increase the capacity

Increase of Capacity to be Connected to the Distribution Network by the Consumer

1. In case of capacity growth by existing consumer the customer is obliged to inform the company in advance with the statement.

2. If 0,4 kv. (380/220V.) and 6/10 kV voltage consumer increasea the actual consumption capacity more than capacity to be connected as foreseen by technical specification in such way that will be needed changing of technical specification, in such a case the company will issue new technical specification and in compliance with requests of the new technical specification will arrange power supply system of this consumer (provides with complete technological cycle), herewith the consumer should pay the fee which is calculated in following way:

a) If the increased (or requested) capacity transferes to distribution network in other proposed package of new consumer’s connection, the consumer should pay the package fee corresponding to the new consumer’s connection to the distribution network from which is deducted the fee defined by that proposed package of new consumer’s connection which is in compliance with connection capacity defined by technical specification of consumer’s existing connection;

b) If the increased (or requested) capacity does not exceed the frames of that proposed package of the new consumer’s connection to the distribution network to which corresponds the capacity to be connected as defined by technical specification of the consumer’s existing connection:

b.a) For the supply of requested capacity is needed reconstruction of electrical network and metering knot connecting with this consumer by the distribution licensee or/and purchase, construction and installation of other appliances, the consumer should pay the fee of new consumer’s connection to the distribution network, which is calculated per kW, the fee of corresponding proposed package to be connected divided into maximal packet capacity and multiplied by kWs additionally requested by the consumer;

b.b) Supply of requested capacity by the consumer does not need the reconstruction of electrical network and metering knot connecting with the consumer or/and purchase, construction and installation of other appliances – payment of the fee is not carried out by the consumer (accordingly, the new technical specification of connection is issed by the distribution licensee without payment the fee).

3. The customer will be informed on the amount of increased capacity connection fee by the technical specificatons and the network construction works will be carried out after paying the fee.

4. If the consumer of 35 kv and more voltage will increase the actual consumption capacity of the power by more than capacity to be connected as foreseen by the technical specification so that for the supply of its requested or increased capacity by the actual consumption will be needed reconstruction of electrical network and metering knot connecting with this consumer or/and purchase, construction and installation of other appliances, in such case for the power supply of this consumer is necessary to re-issue the technical specification of connection and satisfaction of the new technical specification of connection by this consumer.

5. Increase of the power consumtion capacity is being confirmed by using of the same method, from which was carried out defining of the consumer’s capacity to be connected while working out of technical specification on connection to the distribution network.
