Connection without a meter for the period up to 1 week

A consumer who wishes to consume electricity for a temporary, predetermined need (electric welding, polishing, etc.) without metering with an individual meter, by mutual agreement with the company, writes an application for a temporary connection (up to 1 week). Temporary connection to the network without individual metering is possible only in the following cases:

- At 220 V voltage (so-called "phase-zero"), the connected power does not exceed 10 kW,

-  At 380 V voltage (so-called "3-phase"), the connected power does not exceed 30 kW,

The application must indicate the place of connection, customer number (if he/she is already registered as a customer), the exact name of the customer personal number/identification code, actual and legal address, a list of electrical appliances to be used with their characteristics (power, voltage, etc.), the number of working days and hours when consumption is planned.

The system operator shall review the application of the applicant for unlimited connection (up to 1 week) within 10 working days and make a decision on whether to grant the request. The applicant shall carry out the work himself (at his/her own expense) and notify the system operator thereof, who shall in turn provide the connection to the network.

Basis: Article 24, Paragraph 17 of Resolution #19 of the National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission of Georgia “Rules for the Distribution Network of Electricity” - “The person wishing to connect and the system operator are authorized to agree on the method of connecting, using and charging the device to the distribution network without individual metering. If it is impossible to determine the amount of electricity consumed and the agreement of the parties does not provide for another condition, the determination of the consumed electricity shall be carried out by multiplying the installed capacity of the device(s) on the site, their load factor of 0.5 and 8-hour usage.”

The charging of consumed electricity without individual metering by a mutually agreed method is a one-time payment and shall not exceed seven calendar days.
